If you’re buying safetywear or workwear especially for workdays with potential overcast or rain, you need a men’s showerproof jacket. Bisley workwear hi vis jackets are only showerproof if a weather treatment seal of the exterior of the jacket is implemented. If you’re unsure if the jacket you’re interested in is showerproof, look out for the showerhead logo in the product descriptions.
Read more…All men’s lightweight showerproof jackets are resistant to light rain. The outercoat finish with the applied waterproof membrane is added to the reverse side of rainwear fabrics. Generally, if a garment repels liquid on the outside and is not fully seam-sealed on the inside it is categorised as showerproof.
Men’s showerproof jackets are different to men’s water-resistant jackets as they do not completely repel water from seeping through the garment. Water resistant jackets do not allow any water to enter the inside of the garment. Showerproof jackets prevent but cannot guarantee full replant against water entering.
Showerproof jackets are an essential part of the Bisley Wet weather range and make up some of our best-sellers to date. This is because shower or splash proof workwear is a nice to have feature, and not necessarily a requirement for most labour industries in Australia.
Pairing Men’s showerproof jackets with cuffed workwear and hi vis safety wear pants is a good idea. As it adds to the prevention of water entering through workwear. This is because when tucking them into boots, there are minimal opening points for water to enter while working.
